Assam Jewelry · Beni Mellal, Morocco

Handcrafted in Morocco.
Worn Across the World.

Nestled at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, Beni Mellal has been a center of Amazigh craft traditions for centuries. This is where Assam Jewelry was born — not in a factory, not in a trend report, but in a workshop where silver is still worked by hand, the way it has always been.

Every piece we make carries the DNA of a living heritage: the geometric precision of zellige tile art, the symbolic vocabulary of Amazigh identity, the sacred weight of Arabic calligraphy. These are not decorative choices. They are a language — one that Moroccan communities around the world still speak, and that we translate into silver and gold for you to wear.

The Motifs Behind Every Piece

Zellige Geometry
Zellige is the art of hand-cut ceramic tilework that covers the walls of Morocco's great medinas. Its patterns — interlocking stars, hexagons, and infinite repeat — are a meditation on mathematical order and spiritual harmony. When we engrave zellige geometry into silver, we are carrying a 1,000-year-old visual tradition from the walls of Fès into your everyday life.
Amazigh & Berber Symbols
The Amazigh people — the indigenous people of North Africa — have used symbolic language in jewelry, textiles, and tattoos for thousands of years. The fibula, the hand, the lozenge, the tifinagh script: each symbol carries meaning about identity, protection, fertility, and belonging. For the Moroccan diaspora, wearing these symbols is an act of cultural memory.
Arabic Calligraphy
Arabic calligraphy is considered the highest form of Islamic art — a visual expression of divine language. We engrave Quranic verses, names, and personal dedications by hand onto silver and gold. Each engraving is done by a craftsman who understands not just the letterforms but their meaning.

Silver & Gold, Done Right

Hallmarked · Certified
Sterling Silver 925

92.5% pure silver — the international standard for fine silver jewelry. Each piece is hallmarked. We source from certified suppliers and verify purity before every production run. The remaining 7.5% is copper alloy, which gives the silver its durability without compromising its color or brilliance.

Fine Gold · 18K
18K Yellow Gold

75% pure gold — the benchmark for luxury fine jewelry worldwide. Rich in color, resistant to tarnish, and heavy enough to feel substantial on the hand. We work gold on request for custom commissions and select pieces in our collection.

This is Not a Dropshipping Operation.
This is an Atelier.

Atlas Jewelry is built on the hands of skilled Moroccan craftspeople — silversmiths and goldsmiths who have spent years mastering the techniques of casting, engraving, stone-setting, and finishing in both 925 sterling silver and 18K gold.

When you commission a custom piece, a real person in Beni Mellal reads your request, selects the metal, and works it into the design you described.

"Made by hand, in Morocco, the right way."

Our Guarantee

Every Assam Jewelry piece is guaranteed for life. If it breaks, we fix it. If it cannot be fixed, we replace it. We stand behind our work because we believe that handmade jewelry — made with the right materials, by the right hands — should last longer than trends, longer than seasons, possibly longer than us.
